Two Boeing 737s Collide While Taxiing At Prague

Today at around 10:30 UTC,two Boeing 737-800 were taxiing to Runway 06 at Prague Airport.

Flight QS1170 (OK-TVW),bound for Madeira with 160 PAX on board, was taxing past flight QS2858 (N277EA) with 118 PAX on board when the collision occurred.

As OK-TVW was taxing past the plane that was waiting to line up, its winglet hit the

stabilizer on N277EA. Traffic behind the two aircraft were forced to make a 180° turn and

taxi to Runway 24 for take off. Traffic behind included VY 8653 (Vueling bound for Barcelona)

and FR8214 (Ryanair bound for Beauvais). No injuries were reported but there were large

delays caused by this incident. Both aircraft were safely towed back to the gate and then to

the Travel Service hangar for repairs. Replacement aircraft were then provided for the

passengers waiting in the terminal, these departed shortly after.
