According to Bloomberg sources, Air Senegal is nearing a deal for 8 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Air Senegal, the replacement for Senegal Airlines which went bankrupt back in 2016, has been growing significantly since it began, ordering modern jets including the Airbus A330Neo.
The order would be valued at about $732 million, and would allow Air Senegal to develop its network within Africa.
Air Senegal was founded back in 2016. It has a fleet of 5 aircraft, with one Airbus A330-900Neo still on order. Air Senegal only operates a fleet of Airbus aircraft including 2 ATR72s. ATR Aircraft is 50% owned by Airbus.
