Bamboo Airways began selling tickets from Hanoi to Prague

Bamboo Airways started selling tickets for their new route from Hanoi to Prague. The route will be served by the Boeing 787-9 twice a week (Wednesdays and Sundays) starting 29th March. In the direction from Hanoi, the plane will depart at 9:20 and land in Prague at 16:00 local time after 11 hours and 40 minutes in the air. The flight back to Vietnam will depart Prague at 18:05 and will arrive at Hanoi at 9:35 after 10 hours and 30 minutes.

The plan for launching direct flights between Hanoi and the Czech capital was confirmed this January on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Czechia. Prague Airport should thus have connections to a total of 16 long-distance destinations in the summer flight schedule, the most in the history of the airport. Originally there were 17, but Hainan Airlines canceled their route to Beijing.

"According to our estimates, over 50,000 passengers in both directions could use the new route between Prague and Hanoi per year," said Václav Rehor, the chairman of Prague Airport.

Bamboo Airways became Vietnam's first private airline to operate widebody aircraft at the end of the year. The Boeing 787-9 is being operated in a configuration of 298 passengers.

"We ranked the European market as key, and thus in 2020 it is one of the priorities for the development of Bamboo Airways, as well as for the development of tourism and other FLC Group investments," said Truong Phuong Thanh, the deputy CEO of Bamboo Airways.
