British Airways has announced further changes to its route network with the Air Belgium Airbus A340 lease extended till the end of October.
British Airways has been operating an Air Belgium Airbus A340 on the routes from London to Toronto and Newark. Originally, this temporary Air Belgium change was supposed to remain in effect until mid-August, however, in a recent scheduled update reported by RoutesOnline, the Airbus A340 will remain flying for British Airways until the end of October.
Air Belgium's planes will take a break from long-haul flights for British Airways. Instead, the Airbus A340 will be flying from London Heathrow to Cairo. The Airbus A340 will be replacing a Boeing 787-8 until October 28. It is worth noting that October 28 marks the start of the Winter season within the airline industry.
