Croatian airports are being reconnected to Europe

After partially resuming national flights at the beginning of May, Croatia Airlines, the national carrier of the Republic of Croatia, has announced that they would slowly start reconnecting the country’s airports with other European airports by resuming routes to numerous airports. A month ago, on May 11th, services to Dubrovnik and Split were restarted from Zagreb airport. Amsterdam followed on May 25th, with Copenhagen on June 1st.

Tomorrow morning, on June 8th, the first flights to Zurich, Switzerland, as well as national flights to Pula and Zadar will take off from Zagreb airport for the first time since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, which has strongly affected aviation in Europe and worldwide. Next week, services to Sarajevo, Brussels, London, Rome, and Munich will also resume from the country’s capital. Lastly, services to Dublin and Vienna will resume on the 16th of June and 18th of June respectively.

The government of Croatia has announced that they are open for tourism this year, and Croatia Airlines will play a big part in connecting the small republic with European tourists looking for a break.
