Sichuan Airlines Becomes First NEW Operator At Istanbul

On 30 April 2019, Sichuan Airways became the latest airline to fly to Istanbul Airport, the first carrier to open a brand new route to the highly publicised Istanbul New Airport without operating to Istanbul Ataturk previously.

The carrier also recently launched services to Prague

The airline uses a mix of Airbus A330-200 and Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the route and flies between Chengdu and Istanbul three times a week. The carrier currently has a monopoly on the route.
