Potentially linked to the recent Boeing 737 MAX catastrophe, Southwest Airlines officials reportedly took a visit to Airbus regarding a possible A220 order.

Southwest Airlines and Boeing have had a relationship like no other. Southwest has been a long time customer operating almost every single 737 variant - successfully.

This news probably comes as a blow to Boeing, despite Southwest Airlines revealing continued faith in the 737 MAX program. The new move says otherwise, or perhaps it simply isn't linked?
