As part of the Indian governments ‘UDAN’ scheme, Spicejet has announced 14 new vital domestic connections within India that will help bring the heavily populated country closer.
"Reaffirming the airline's conviction on the Regional Connectivity Scheme, SpiceJet has started operating on the new UDAN routes of Kishangarh-Ahmedabad-Kishangarh, Lakhimpur-Guwahati-Lakhimpur, Jaipur-Amritsar-Jaipur, Delhi-Jharsuguda-Delhi, Hyderabad-Jharsuguda-Hyderabad, Kolkata-Jharsuguda-Kolkata and Bhopal-Udaipur-Bhopal from March 31," Spicejet detailed in a statement.
Additionally, Spicejet announced a few of its own routes (therefore not operated under the UDAN scheme) enhancing its domestic network around the bigger cities. New routes from Mumbai to Bhopal & Gorakhpur will be added, flying daily, along with a daily Chennai to Patna rotation and two daily flights (one daily on Sunday) from Delhi to Bhopal. Finally, Spicejet will launch services to Surat from Bhopal and will begin on the Jaipur to Dharamshala sector, all operating daily.
