Swiss Takes Delivery of Final 777-300ER

Swiss International Airlines (SWISS) has taken delivery of its final Boeing 777-300ER at Zurich Airport.

The aircraft is registered HB-JNL and has become the 12th Boeing 777-300ER to join the carrier’s fleet.

Swiss International Airlines is based at Zurich Airport and operates a fleet of Airbus A220s, A319s, A320s, A321s, A340s, A330s and Boeing 777s.

The airline, in its most recent financial report, said that it would further invest in its fleet to offer passengers a “top-class air travel experience.”

Swiss International Airlines said that it would be refurbishing its fleet of 14 Airbus A330s in 2022 with an updated cabin. More specifically, SWISS says that it will equip the aircraft with a new Premium Economy offering. The 777-300ERs will also have the new Premium Economy offering when they are refurbished by spring 2021.

Furthermore, SWISS is awaiting delivery of its first Airbus A320neo which is set to arrive early next year. The carrier has 17 A320neos and 8 Airbus A321neos on order which are to be delivered between 2020 and 2024.

SWISS received its first Boeing 777-300ER back in 2016.
