Thai Airways will be extending the suspending of all its international flights until the end of August. The suspension has been in place since March, after travel restrictions as a result of the coronavirus, put the airline in a difficult situation.

Thai Airways, often regarded as the “Alitalia of South East Asia” because of its heavy losses and the fact that it is heavily indebted, filed for bankruptcy reconstruction approximately two months ago.
French boutique airline, La Compagnie, has also suspended operations until September. Similarly, Aerolineas Argentinas, among others, has suspended international operations until further notice, with government restrictions preventing a resumption before September 2020.
